What 6/6 means
The first number is the test distance in metres. The second is the distance at which a person with normal sight reads that line. 6/6 is normal. 6/12 means you must stand at 6 metres to read what others read from 12. In feet the same result is 20/40.
Does 6/9 vision need glasses?
Not always. Mild 6/9 vision is often left alone. If you drive, study or get headaches, glasses usually help. A free eye test decides.
