In detail
Meday ki tezabiyat aur jalan (acidity and heartburn)
Acid rising from the stomach causes burning behind the breastbone, sour water in the mouth and a heavy feeling after meals. It is worse when you lie down soon after eating, after fried or spicy food, and with tea on an empty stomach. Raise the head of the bed, eat smaller meals and stop eating two to three hours before sleep. Long-standing acidity with trouble swallowing or weight loss needs an endoscopy.
Gas aur badhazmi ka ilaj (gas and indigestion)
Bloating, belching and a tight stomach usually come from eating fast, fizzy drinks, too much daal or cabbage in one sitting, or constipation. Chew slowly, walk for ten minutes after meals and note which foods set it off. Gas with ongoing pain, vomiting or weight loss should be examined.
Pait dard (stomach pain)
Most stomach pain is from gas, acidity or constipation and settles in a day or two. Pain that is severe, fixed in the lower right side, comes with fever or vomiting, or wakes you at night is different and needs a hospital the same day.
H. pylori aur ulcer
H. pylori is a stomach infection that causes ulcers and long-running acidity. It is diagnosed by a stool or breath test and treated with a course of antibiotics from a medical doctor. If you have had an ulcer, tell the homeopathic doctor and bring your reports.
Qabz, bawaseer aur fissure
Hard stools and straining lead to piles and to small tears called fissures, which cause sharp pain and a streak of blood. Softening the stool is the first step in every case. Read our full guides: qabz ka ilaj and bawaseer ka ilaj.
IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)
IBS causes cramping, bloating and stools that swing between loose and hard, often worse with stress. Tests are normal. Regular meals, less tea and oil, and managing worry help most people. A food diary shows your own triggers.
General advice in line with NHS: heartburn and acid reflux.
Go to a hospital first if you have
- Blood in the stool, or black tar-like stool
- Vomiting blood
- Severe stomach pain with fever
- Weight loss without a clear reason
These signs need urgent examination and tests. Go to the nearest hospital or call Rescue 1122.

How the consultation works
Treatment starts with a consultation at Babar Homeopathic Clinic. One of our registered homeopathic doctors takes your full history and prescribes for your case, so two people with the same complaint may receive different medicine. You are also given diet and routine advice, and a date for follow-up. If you are new to homeopathy, read is homeopathic medicine safe? and how homeopathic medicines work.

Questions about stomach and digestion
Do I need tests before I come?
Bring any reports you already have, such as an ultrasound or endoscopy. If the doctor thinks a test is needed, he will tell you during the consultation.
Will I have to change my diet?
Usually yes. Most digestive complaints improve faster when meal timing, water and oily or spicy food are adjusted. The doctor gives diet advice with the medicine.
Kya homeopathic ilaj ke saath parhez zaroori hai?
Yes. For acidity, gas and constipation, diet and meal timing matter as much as any medicine.
When is stomach pain an emergency?
Severe pain, pain with fever or repeated vomiting, a hard swollen belly, or blood in vomit or stool. Go to a hospital.
How much water should you drink?
Low water intake is one of the commonest causes of constipation and acidity. Work out a daily amount for your weight and the weather.
