Before you buy contact lenses
A contact lens number is not always the same as your glasses number. Have your eyes checked first and ask which lens suits you. Message us on WhatsApp to check what is in stock, including coloured lenses.
Using contact lenses safely
- Wash and dry your hands before touching lenses.
- Clean and store lenses only in lens solution, never in water.
- Do not sleep in your lenses.
- Do not share lenses with anyone, including coloured lenses for a function.
- Replace lenses and the lens case on time.
- Put lenses in before make-up and take them out before removing it.
Contact lenses are safe when cared for properly, but poor hygiene can cause serious eye infections, as the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explains.

- Your eye becomes red or painful
- Your sight blurs
- Light hurts your eyes

Types of contact lenses

How to put in and take out contact lenses
- Wash your hands with soap and dry them on a lint-free towel.
- Place the lens on the tip of your index finger. It should look like a bowl. If the edges flare outward, it is inside out.
- Hold your upper lid up and pull the lower lid down. Look up and place the lens on the eye.
- Blink a few times. If it feels gritty, remove it, rinse with solution and try again.
- To remove, look up, slide the lens down onto the white of the eye and pinch it off gently.
Who should avoid contact lenses
People with very dry eyes, repeated eye infections, or work in heavy dust and smoke do better with glasses. Do not wear lenses while swimming or bathing. Never buy lenses that have no manufacturer's seal and expiry date.
