In detail
Uric acid ka ilaj aur parhez (gout)
High uric acid forms crystals in a joint, most often the big toe, causing sudden, severe pain with redness and swelling, often at night. Cut down red meat, organ meat (kaleji, gurda), fizzy and sweet drinks, and drink more water. Uric acid is confirmed by a blood test. Repeated attacks damage joints and kidneys, so follow-up matters.
Joron ka dard aur gathiya (arthritis)
Osteoarthritis is wear of the joint with age and weight, worst in the knees and after activity. Rheumatoid arthritis affects small joints of both hands with morning stiffness lasting over an hour and needs blood tests and a specialist. Knowing which type you have decides the treatment.
Kamar dard ka ilaj (back pain)
Most back pain is muscular and improves within a few weeks if you keep moving. Bed rest for days makes it worse. Lift with bent knees and a straight back, and avoid sitting for hours without a break.
Irq-un-nisa (sciatica)
Sciatica is pain that travels from the lower back down the back of one leg, sometimes with tingling. It usually comes from a disc pressing on a nerve and settles over weeks. Weakness in the foot or numbness around the groin needs urgent attention.
Gardan aur kandhe ka dard (neck and shoulder)
Long hours looking down at a phone or sewing strain the neck muscles. Raise the screen to eye level, change position often and stretch gently. If headaches come with it, have your eyes checked too. An outdated glasses number makes people lean forward. See eye testing.
General advice in line with NHS: sciatica.
Go to a hospital first if you have
- Pain after a fall or accident
- Numbness or weakness in the legs
- Loss of control over urine or stool
- One hot, swollen joint with fever
These signs need urgent examination and tests. Go to the nearest hospital or call Rescue 1122.

Questions about joint, back and bone pain
Should I bring my X-ray or uric acid report?
Yes. Bring X-rays, MRI or blood reports if you have them. They help the doctor understand the cause.
Can I continue my painkillers?
Tell the doctor which painkillers you take and how often. He will advise you. Do not stop medicine prescribed by another doctor on your own.
Uric acid mein kya nahi khana chahiye?
Red meat, kaleji and gurda, and sweet or fizzy drinks. Drink more water.
Do I need an X-ray for back pain?
Not for ordinary back pain. The doctor will ask for one if there are warning signs.
Check your BMI
Extra weight loads the knees and the lower back. Check where your weight sits for your height.
